The success of this show is not its ability to create a realistic, post-apocalyptic world where the dead roam freely feeding on survivors. The success of this show is in its ability to create the world of a group of semi-strangers who are bound by the global circumstance, but whose relationships ebb and flow with more and more conflict piling on top of them.
